Lovely set of images. I would be interested to know the make of tele-extenders that you used for the CaK images.

Re: Limb proms of June 2

Beautiful images. I am impressed with the proms on your FD, are you now using the Lunt module with the front ERF replaced by a Baader blue filter as you noted in a previous post? I ask as I am having problems with reflections with my Lunt module when I increase gain to image CaK proms.

Re: AS3 Tips and Tricks Thread?

I have found Mark's description in "Using settings in Autostakkert 3" 28 April 20
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=27888
as well as his insights into using the AS3 quality graph in Alfred's post 21 May 20 really helpful. Can I suggest putting them in the library?

Re: May 20 CaK disc and H-alpha proms

The barlow in front of the BF certainly gives a marked improvement. I have been thinking of trying a barlow or telecentric before my Lunt CaK module after Mark Townley reported the benefits of using a telecentric in front of his CaK homebrew. Are you using a 2" barlow? Were you using the original fr...

Excellent images. I expect you are aware of the role Stonyhurst observatory played in solar research giving its name to Stonyhurst discs.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stonyhurst_Observatory.
Hope you enjoy your visit,

That's another really beautiful image. Do you operate at close to the calculated optimal focal ratio (f15ish) for CaK with the ASI290?
