Re: August 1st - Busy Ha day

Rainer and James... Thanks for your comments on the image series :bow James, these bright spots in the Ha wings have been referred to as Ellerman Bombs in the past...though there may be some dispute about that now. Either way, they are not artifacts as they have been recorded in my off band images f...

Re: Lunt Pressure Tuner + Quark Question

Raf... Thanks for confirming your lineup of equipment in the imaging train, I think mine is essentially the same. The Lunt etalon is the double stack module but only acts like a single stack in the mod. You have posted pics of the mod you have...have you got one with the Quark installed? Thanks, Brian

Lunt Pressure Tuner + Quark Question

Good day everyone... A question for those of you who are double stacking a Quark with a Pressure Tuned Lunt scope, regarding how much the double stack increases the exposure required to get a decent image. I have tried to DS my Quark Combo behind the Lunt DSII on the modded scope and no matter what ...

Alexandra, Derek, Franco, and Jochen... An excellent series of images Marty in all bands :bow

Interesting how your seeing is influenced by the storms on the east coast of Florida, but the laminar flow makes sense. So long as it isn't 100+ MPH flow locally its good ;)

August 1st - Busy Ha day

Good day everyone... Like everyone here, the recent increase in activity has been a welcome sight and I had a wonderfully clear morning on Saturday to do some observing and imaging. The promised clouds did start to roll in close to noon so I didn't do any WL or CaK, but was able to do multiple sets ...
