I've been thinking about this combination in my head. Would a Mersenne telescope in front with a h-alpha scope in the back attached achieve a higher resolution? Or would it be similar to just having an h-alpha telescope with an ERF that does not block as much energy allowing in more light?

Suspect it means adding about 200mm to where the telescope focuses. I guess that is why my pst mod is not working correctly at some of my other apertures quite correctly, although works well with my 90mm.

I can't answer all your questions. But the double stack 60mm will produce a more even h-alpha image than the PST mod, since the PST mod using a tilting system. Thanks.. did not know about the rotating trick for the PST mod. It helped a little. Still don't like the banding/sweet spot issue of the pst mod. But for right now it will do until I can afford something more expensive.

If I had the extension tubes to do that, I would not have used the .5 atik reducer. But I just might switch out the focuser in the 120ed with the one in the 150 omni xlt to see if that gives me enough travel along with what extention tubes I have to reach focus. with the 150mm xlt omni r, yes, I use the glasspath corrector. With the 120ed skywatcher no. The detail was just not as great. Especially the surface detail. Maybe things were not quite as square because I used black duct tape to attach the etalon to the tube.
