This is the last full day of fundraising and we are far from our goal to keep the program and this forum running through 2018.

Please consider a generous contribution to our nonprofit.

Re: Need info how to modify Solarmax ll 90mm with 15mm bf to 30mm bf

The BF30 screws into the end of the focuser. It's no big deal. I would not recommend buying one though as the blocking filter glass is way more reliable in 15mm chunks. The benefit of a 2 inch eyepiece/ larger BF is negligible in these scopes as here is nothing else to see in a larger field of view.

We are approaching minimum but we will be back at maximum in a few years and you will have learned the hobby during...

Re: SUPER BEGINNER QUESTION

Hey Chris, The eclipse will be best viewed with your eyes and a DSLR camera with a decent zoom lens. Meade and Celestron are both offering eclipse scope packages in various sizes that are all in your price range. We have setup a page with a lot of options for your level of observing here http://www....

just like the PST, The LS50 is NOT designed for imaging. That being said, both of these scopes can be focused with a camera and a barlow lens.
