Re: Sunday 9th December 2018

Nice images, Alexandra. That same ‘solar cloud’ persisted from my vantage point; no breaks. Most of the remaining sky was clear, except for the heavy haze over and around the Sun. No chance of imaging. So frustrating.

Another stunning image, Valery. We’re all looking forward to a significant up-tick in activity for more of these.

Re: Citizen Science

Lots of stunning images here. Thanks everyone.

I’ll work with a Alexandra and Mark to pull a slideshow together over the coming weeks, aiming to showcase our capabilities.

It will be interesting to hear what the experts say and, learn about what they require.

Best to all.

Nicely presented, Pedro. That’s a lot of scope and processing time condensed into a few minutes, which belies the amount of effort that goes into these things.

Re: Today's SUN (20181130) | FD images low activity

Great FDs, Pedro. That’s a lovely ‘true colour’ red Ha FD, which illustrates more accurately what Ha images look like through the scope. I often wonder how many new solar observers are surprised to see such a red disc the first time they view, when almost all images are presented in ‘traditional’, b...
