Re: AR2713 250mm RCT

Many thanks, everyone.

Lou, the whole Lunt35 was used for this image (etalon and refocusing lens) together with a BF15.

Eric, sorry to hear that progress remains slow. It took me a few months to get everything manufactured before I could get to first light. Good luck.

Looking good there, Mark.

My 150mm and 250mm /Lunt 35 scopes utilise a Coronado BF 15. Works well.

Minor geomagnetic storm 18th June 2018

Raised solar wind speeds, increased particle density and a southerly magnetic orientation sparked a minor geomagnetic storm (G1, Kp5) which was detected on my magnetometer. The wind originated from a moderate coronal hole in the solar atmosphere, now rotating away from us. 20180618_Coronal Hole.jpg ...

Re: Sol from the 4th of June 2018.

Thanks, Eric. I was curious to see what SDO recorded at the same time.

I believe it is a real feature, rather than an image artefact. Maybe it's the result of some random alignment, or maybe it was nucleated at AR12712.

Thoughts anyone?
