Thank you Mark, Franco and Brian. One tries to do it as good as possible I will be at NEAIC and NEAF together with Eric Roel. Perhaps I can meet somebody there. The main reason for my visit to NEAF 2018 is the fact that I ordered 2 equatorial mounts from iOptron model CEM 120EC"2" http://www.ioptron...

Hi,

Todays Sun. The less details the more difficult it is to make the Mosaic.

I think today I have a better quality than the 2 days before. Thanks for looking :bow2

As always best viewed in new tab or window.

Great full disks Rainer! I saw these bright spots too in Cak, they are there at the blue end also.
Great. If I understand our Sol that might be tiny changes of the magnetic field in those areas but not strong enough to trigger a Sun Spot ?

Hi Rainer,

My concern is the local reinforcing steel which might impact performance. Better to be located away from steelwork and electrical cables if you can do so.

BTW there is a tutorial on this in the library section of this forum.

Regards

Stu.
Thank you Stu. Will analize that.

Dear solar friends,

For anyone interested, there's an article in March's 'Sky at Night' magazine on my magnetometer.

Cheers.

Stu.
Hi,

Is there an online version of the article ?

Re: Arduino Magnetometer Testing

Interesting and where can I buy those FGM Magnetometers ? In order to understand it a bit more ...this board can measure the frequency of a pwm signal from a sensor ie the FGM 3 with a program literally a few lines long called "freqcount". So you do not read an analog Signal but a frequency and if ...
