Semantics aside, the important issue is what to do to keep imaging. I live in the Caribbean where shipping is always an issue in terms of time/delays as well as keeping the customs folks happy. Pleased to hear that you agree.

Actually, it is the IR/UV "blocking filter". Try my suggestion out - what have you got to lose other than waiting for the replacement to arrive ? Trust me, I've been there and done that. Remember, it will happen again in the future.
