Thanks Alexandra The views are interesting but not the same we get with modern Herschel wedges. The Clave' Pentaprism (90º pentaprism) has an integrated ND filter, and a barlow lens (views are nice but dark - high magnification) Clave' Helioscope (triple-prism erector) is more interesting to use and...

I agree with Mark, not all scopes are created equal. You will have to test each OTA. I know that Takahashi apos perform really well in at shorter wavelengths

thanks I agree that you should use the best telescope possible to image the sun The TEC140 is great and I get better results compared to other telescopes I use in my solar imaging sessions For H-alpha imaging (narrowband) you can use an ED or even an achromatic OTA.
