Re: Removing barlow from Quark
Hi anyone tried to remove internal telecentric barlow from Daystar Quark? Re: Lunt LS50THa case?
Yes I am referring to the exact case that you linked to, the one from Lunt themselves. Good to hear that the foam from my original Lunt LS50 cardboard shipping box will fit this Lunt case. Thanks.

Re: Lunt LS50THa case?
Did anyone ever buy the Lunt case for their LS50 ? Does it fit the original foam that LS50 came with? Opinions?

Re: Help me decide on solar setup
Hi Dennis, Based on what you're doing, here's the direction I would go: 90~102mm refractor (achroamtic doublet of your choice, or maybe a SkyWatcher 100ED F9 APO) Solarmax 90mm front mounted etalon + 15mm Blocking filter (or larger if you can manage it) + Adapter to mount it Lunt 1200 CaK module La...

Re: Prominence Quark Question
I have tried the original Prominence Quark of our local club, it was a BRIGHT orange view compared to my original Chromosphere Quark, but there was almost no surface detail visible at all in the Prominence version with a 32mm TeleVue Plossl at 105x in my Meade StarNavigator 102mm F7.8 Achromatic ref...

If anyone has any pictures of this procedure, I would be grateful also. The SMII60DS that I am dealing with at the moment also has this "slipped disc" problem.

Re: New pst mod
Hello Manu, Can I ask please how the Baader D-ERF is being held onto your Skywatcher 102/1000 refractor ? What diameter is your D-ERF ? Is it mounted inside the telescope OTA tube, or is it instead mounted at the front of the telescope? What brand and model number of D-ERF cell are you holding the D...

Re: Poor single stack but nice double stack
Interesting, I have LS50 and I also never heard anything when equalising my pressure tuner (which I have done many, many times). My single stack views already have quite a bit of surface detail and good contrast also on the surface (proms are also bright and detailed) so I can't wait to try the doub...

Re: Bit of play near focuser on Lunt LS50THa
Yep, my LS50 has the same annoying play in the same place, where the helical focuser meets the Etalon body. My serial no. is 20158xx.

Re: Coronado SM40 and Solarmax II 60mm working great, but why?
All blocking filters are slightly different and all etalons are slightly different. The blocking filter has to perfectly match the etalon. Remember the etalon produces light in waves, like a comb shape. The blocking filter has to fit exactly over the 656 peak and block all the other peaks. If it is...

Re: Focuser upgrade for my Lunt LS50 H-Alpha Scope
As for the Moonlite: (quote) "There is no room to make it have any shorter profile in a crayford design. Sorry, we would if we could- but the design will not allow it. We gave it a little over .4" of travel and the same exact racked in profile as the stock focuser. Price for the new Moonl...
