Alexandra,
We got the best weather here in south Quebec, even better than Texas and Mazatlan.
Lot of visitors from USA and France, real eclipse chasers.
Lot of memorys for my old days !!!

We got a wonderful total eclipse here, without any cloud. We organised a meeting for 300 amateur astronomers from Quebec with 60 telescopes at all.

I used Topaz AI on my best shot (version 2 first here) and tried Topaz. It's clean and a bit artistic for me, is it too much for the purists ?

Hi thesmiths, I used my Televue 85 with a 0,8x reducer (f/5,6) and a Canon 60D, on a motorised equatorial mount. I used Magic Lantern intervalometer to take 12 bracketed pictures at each session. I just press the remote button to start the session every 10 minutes, so I could talk and enjoy the ecli...

Good idea Brian but here in Sherbrooke, Quebec, we got 3 min 25 sec. of totality. I can't miss it so we will decide to leave by car 48 hours before....

Bad stats here in Sherbrooke Brian, so we plan to do a few hundred km toward west (by car).

The 8th of April week in 2023 was sunny and Texas was bad.

I got a great surprise with this .avi file this morning (90fps for 42 sec.).
I kept 100 of them and I don't know why, it was my best ever. All the others where quite 'normals'.

SW 254mm, Astrosolar 3.8, Astronomiks OIII 12nm, ASI290.

I tried with my ASI294 mono binned 2x2 with RVB filter form Astronomiks.
I calibrated each color the best I could naturally, as any planet.

There is some color on the penumbra but it's not any science for my.
