Re: Equipment recommendation for a possible comeback
Ewan ; Please forgive me for posting incorrect info , I obviously have no idea how to properly use my Quark or it would be my first choice of solar imaging instruments that I use . I agree 100% with your recommendation the OP should have a Quark as well as the support equipment you mention , 152 F/5...

Re: Equipment recommendation for a possible comeback
One thing that I often see overlooked in Quark discussions is the barlow required to obtain the f/r that solid heated etalons want . The OP clearly stated he is looking for an imaging rig and my experience tells me that the quark has limitations as far as imaging goes . Lunt and Coronado products do...

I had been looking for a Coronado SM90 II etalon for a while now and was lucky enough to find a gently used one . I made an adapter ring to fit the threads in the end of the retractable dew shield . I just removed the stop ring and installed the etalon so my mod is double stacked now . As you can om...

Hi Mike ; Here are the scopes that I have tried my Quark with , I like your spread sheet so add these to it if you like . Coronado has depleted their stock since the company sold last year and it would appear that the distributors are now doing the same , From what I have been hearing the "New Coronado" is a long way off from producing any new gear . notice that the sale only pertains to in stock items .
