Solar Analemma. This outstanding image from Alexandra Hart taken over a period of 4 years charts the midday position of the sun in the sky throughout the year. The north–south component of the analemma results from the change in the Sun's declination due to the tilt of Earth's axis of rotation. The east–west component results from the nonuniform rate of change of the Sun's right ascension, governed by combined effects of Earth's axial tilt and orbital eccentricity.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and looking forward to a great solar cycle 25!

Re: Newton rings or reflections

Sorry all for the late response, work and family issues.. I had a quick look at some of my surface data and can't seem to see it in them so thanks Mark, looking like over exposure..If I get a chance soon I try at a reduced exposure..I normally set the histogram at 80/90% for proms and the exposure h...

Newton rings or reflections

20200117_094854.jpg Hi all, not been on here for a while as funny enough not done any solar imaging since the mercury transit, and that was a flop! I've always thought that my images had Newton rings and I'd need to buy a tilt adjuster to eliminate them.. but I was just about to search to see if yo...

When you say you got better results with a external erf, in which way? Was this on a stage 1 mod?

Re: PST + DSLR Full disk problem ... AMENDED

Which Skyris Model do you have exactly? I am no expert, but I might be able to help and in any case you need to add that Barlow Nosepiece [the tip of the whole Barlow] and the C adaptor as mentioned by the very helpful marktownley or make one yourself. Thanks..I have the 236m Skyris and have bought ...

I've no idea if I'm looking for inward or outward travel..tried a 3x Barlow(Not on the nosecone as it won't fit) If I do need to go down the new camera route am I right in thi...
