Motorized Etalon Tuners

Hi everyone. here's my latest solar mod , motorized etalon tuners. I got fed up having to keep walking outside and tune my scope. I do all my Solar Imaging inside the house ,so fitting motorized tuners was a logical solution. I was inspired by Ken's Vegemite tuner A small geared motor is housed insi...

Thank's Eric and Mark, I was quite amazed how bright the solar feature was , even when I dropped the exposure and gain right back it was still visible.

Proms 12th November 2019

Here's a few of my best images from 12th November 2019 ,taken with my Lunt LS60 tha Double stacked with a 50mm Lunt etalon, and DIY cooled ASI290mm camera.

The day was windy and the Solar disc was flat with the exception of a hot spot on the edge of the limb.

I agree with Alexandra, number 2 shows better contrast and more detail.

Early morning session Brisbane Australia 24/10/2019

Today was a perfect day in Brisbane. So I set up at 8 am for some early morning imaging before the skies got any turbulence.

These are a few pictures taken with my Lunt 60mm SS. The sun was quite flat today but the prominence's around the limb made up for it.
