Friday April 12th Ha Session

Today was slightly better seeing wise, the Jetstream was still bad. I managed a few captures. Here are my best shots for the day. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53649087175_561279e363_o.jpg testc by Martin Symonds , on Flickr https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53648973389_b4a93f0d44_o.jpg 2024...

Thursday Session Ha 11-04-2024

After seeing Peter's (PeterM) animations, I can't believe the difference between our viewing conditions. We are both on the coast about 90 klms apart. Peter is next to the water, while I am about 1klm back from the beach. Peter got some great results, yet mine were all over the place due to poor see...

AR3628 Images Ha 04-04-2024

Today was a stinker for imaging, rain, clouds and turbulence was the order of the day. I persevered and got one image of the new AR 3628 that was worth posting. There was some light flare action, so hopefully it will ramp up for us and give a good show. 2024-04-04-0107_1-U-R-Solar_ZWO ASI174MM_Gain=...

Today in Queensland , Australia, we got a fairly good imaging day (the first in over a week). I got over 1TB of data, unfortunately a lot of it was sub standard due to clouds and turbulence. Franco, I don't use a tilter. I use a .5x focal reducer positioned as close to the sensor as possible. I don't get any Newton Rings and the focus is uniform across the whole field of view.
