Re: First light of new setup: 150mm f/5 achromat + Quark

Hi John, Thank you. This is iOptron MiniTower-Pro mount on TAL pier and DIY extension at my Moscow balcony and I also have MiniTower-II mount at my country house about 150 km far from Moscow. I do not see any difference between them when i use Lunt-100. For minimum vibration I always use motofocus. ...

Re: First light of new setup: 150mm f/5 achromat + Quark

Thank you Alexandra, Mark, Nick, Eric. Last summer the camera in the the sun sometimes became overheated and turned off because of its thermal protection. So I screwed the heat sink on its back and strapped a piece of foil insulator to reflect the sun's rays. Now the camera works fine. I did not use...

First light of new setup: 150mm f/5 achromat + Quark

The setup consists of slightly modified SW 150/750 refractor + Aries 165mm D-ERF + Quark + 0.5x reducer + Ba...

Hi Alfred,
Here is the cell of my design for Valery's 165mm D-ERF. I use in on SW 150/750. Any mechanic can do it.

Re: 135mm D-ERF to C14

Hi Michael,
I think you should design a sturdy cap on the SCT lens with 135mm off-axis hole and then the cylindrical adapter that allows you to install your D-ERF aluminium cell on this hole. The outer diameter of adapter must be equal to the diameter of TEC lens cell.

Re: Two Bob's CaK filters shootout. Big difference!

Hi Thomas

Here I posted data of my CaK filter http://solarchat.natca.net/viewtopic.ph ... 85#p143485

I think it came to me in the end of 2014.
