I just provided the JPL with several SSM, and we worked together on them for deliver the r0 as well, so I guess it's good enough for Caltech/NASA.

Two ERF do eat some light. It is RG630 so the transmission is about 75% in Ha band. When I was using my DS SM60, removing one of the ERF was noticeable.

A telecentric amplifier gets longer as the amplification factor increases, or you need to use very short FL negative front lens. And that doesn't come free optically speaking.

Any ASCOM focuser wil do if it is an absolute one, most steppers focusers are.

Maybe an issue is that Genika requires an absolute focuser. If the focuser is a PWM focuser (pulse wide modulation) then it is a relative one.

That is a nice animation given the conditions. Did you make a recording of the seeing conditions over time and a survey of different location in your backyard with the SSM ? Sometimes a few meters change a lot !
