Solar Autoguiding with PHD2.

I've just seen over on FB a new extension to PHD2 that facilitates both Solar and Lunar autoguiding. Very nice work John. I like the Ha images but for me nothing beats a 540nm filter for a fine photosphere view of AR13590. James Us poor 'whitelight' folks have certainly seen the best of this region I think , and all the big'uns for that matter ... :P That's ignoring the occasional X-class flare of...

No experience here but I'd assume the weather would affect things to a degree , there being routine differences in atmospheric pressure hence why we use barometers ? How much difference there is between routine high and low pressure systems when compared to the difference due to altitude I do not kn...

Where does one find this Altair 393 3nm ... ?

I shoot my whitelight in 'monochrome' either with the 174MM or the EOS 6D set in 'mono' mode .

I present three discs just because ... the inverted version I post as I find it emphasises the faculae somewhat , and my 'coloured' disc I post purely 'cos it's pretty ... :lol:

I always used to start my day with a look at the latest SDO/HMI Continuum image , but when , as of late , there's been no chance of a session I find it a bit of a downer seeing a busy disc that I can't access.
