Hi Franz, You asked what the difference between an RG filter and a ASO in the 32mmCA. It is a matter of range of tuning , An RG will have at least +/- 1 Ang of tuning . Where an ASO you may have more tuning in either the red side or the blue side.( maybe only .5Ang one directional and 1.5A ang the o...

Re: Transmission curves of Siebert Barlow UV/ visible from 300 to 1000 nm

HI group, You notice that how all the AR's drop off at around 400nm. This is because the common high index material usually used would be TI02. This starts to really absorb at that wavelength. Looking at the scans. You can see different designs. from BBAR to 4 layer AR's (most common). Even a 1/4 wa...

The next one is a low index spacer. In a collimated beam they are both 1 Ang HW. 1), F/30,F/20,F/15,F/...

Re: If CaK is best at F10 -

Hi group. You can see like all filters, the cone of light coming in at a faster F/# is the same effect that tilting does. The center wavelength is shifted towards the shorter wavelengths. So at K-line you may not be in the center of the absorption line but you will see some of the effects of the line.
