Glad you had a good viewing session Brian and a great set of pics too, I enjoyed watching AR12729 on the limb as well (earlier on in the day 12UTC) it was full of very bright surge proms and a pleasure to watch.

Sunday 9th December 2018

Sunday was forecast for a completely sunny morning but I quickly found this not to be the case as the special 'solar cloud' was making a frustrating appearance. No matter how clear blue the sky can be a line of horizontal cloud was permanently moving over the Sun. So I spent 1 and half hours waiting...

Excellent pictures Marty :bow there seems to be a regular little AR appearing most weeks but then it fades as quick as it emerges. I like all the halos too :hamster:
