Looking back at historical records the spot was actively evolving and it was 2 spots that merged into one.

I think light bridges form when a single spot splits into 2.

Looks promising! You will make life a lot easier for yourself in terms if seeing by stopping the scope down to half the native aperture. You will also get more contrast from it.

All depends whether the spot was emerging or decaying when the picture was taken. Laszlo, can you elaborate on the time and date of recording please.

Sunday was forecast to be cloudy, but by some miracle by 11am it cleared up partially. A decent wind from the northeast with scudding clouds meant the seeing was never going to be great, but transparency was very good and so I decided to dip into the blue end again.
