Honestly I am not the right person to listen too but I know that when folks do PST mods they remove the gold tube from the front and have the body left over as a spare part. Would it be possible to buy or get for free this spare body part to screw your gold tube on to, then the problem would be fix...

I agree. I think you will find better uses for the $.
I also housed a vbulletin forum and know exactly how hard it is to deal with robot spam and the rest. You have Titan like strength and perseverance for doing it.

Hi All, Here is the first image from the PST / ZWO174mm combo in rubbish seeing. The ZWO does NOT reach focus in the PST and a Barlow is needed. Slightly different answer regarding pix insight
If you're doing time lapse ... It has a nice blink setting so you can see easily frame by frame what's come out of your batch processing. I find it very handy.

Karen, I remember you were using imgalt. Its frame alignment functionality is now included also in ImPPG , in a probably easier to use graphical interface. As for Sun tracking, I set up during the day and point the mount (non-GoTo) only approximately at the north, so I have to manually correct ever...

My HEQ5Pro is pier mounted, controlled by EWMod and will keep a small area of the sun in the fov for hours. The only 'secrets' are good polar alignment and choosing SOLAR tracking rather than SIDEREAL because, yes, the sun does follow a different path. There are solar guiders available but I can't ...
