William Optics 1.25" Binoviewer with Two 20mm Eyepieces
Only used twice, new condition. I found that the extra weight of these with my mount made the image nearly unviewable, so a steady mount is required to use these as they are intended to be used. You likely know what these retail for, my price $180 shipped, USA only. I accept paypal and postal money ...

Re: williams optics binoviewer
Finally got a view in the binos, as stated the bf tube has to be all the way in. Potentially great view but they seem to stop just short of focus. I tried a longer barlow that I have no luck, I tried no barlow at all even worse. So it would appear that I just need a small margin one way or the other...

Re: williams optics binoviewer
Couldn't get the WO's to focus in either my lunt or 127 telescope, tried it with and without the barlow ... Think I need a focal reducer or something ?

Re: Lunt coming soon
Another great day ,,, Obviously I don't know great seeing from good to fair, I think it was pretty good. Saw my 1st sun details, quite a sight. Saw loads of proms/solar flares, whatever they are, very impressive. Boggles the mind to know that these violent eruptions are 10,000's of miles long. All t...

Re: Lunt coming soon
Thanks for the tips, I didn't expect to strike gold with my first shovel .... Am looking forward to learning the scope. Didn't notice any paperwork in the boxes, maybe under the foam. Had nothing but sun today, unfortunately had to spend most of the day under my truck doing some much needed repairs,...

Re: Lunt coming soon
Got my first peek in today, must say I was underwhelmed, but not discouraged. Only had a small window of about 15 minutes open up with no clouds ... Tried first with a meade 20 mm eyepiece. Really is a challenged to find the sun, I had the dot perfectly centered in the finder but it was no where to ...

Re: Lunt coming soon
Yep thanks, am very happy with the new counterweight, and also happy saving some $$. Had nothing but sun during my little vacation, now that I am back just rain and clouds. Scope is as ready as it will ever be, supposed to be at least partly sunny these next few days so I'm hoping for my 1st peek po...

Re: Lunt coming soon
1st mod complete. I discovered that the supplied 2lb counterweight was not enough with the binoviewers. After checking the prices for another 2lb counterweight [$40], I nearly choked and resolved to make one of my own. I had a chunk of steel stock laying around, weighs about 1.5 lbs, I simply welded...

Re: Lunt coming soon
I am elated with this scope, after 3 years of dreaming and drooling, I finally own it ! Only thing I don't like about its looks is that orange plate, qill have to spray it black. Won't be seeing anything for a couple of days as I am going to my vacation cabin for the weekend, am tempted but better n...

Re: Lunt coming soon
Lunt finally arrived, very happy. Was tempted to take my 1st peek but its partly cloudy, going to concentrate on setting up for the weekend and figuring out how to use it. Scope seems balanced nicely on the mount ... I am a bit nervousness about the dovetail setup having no safety stop, while it is ...

Re: williams optics binoviewer
Thanks for the input, I ordered a pair before I changed my mind [or ran out of $$].
Lunt has been shipped, all I need now is a mount that works.

williams optics binoviewer
Am considering one of these units to increase visual pleasure ,,, I plan on getting into imaging but want to concentrate on visuals first. Was wondering if anyone has mated this unit to a lunt ... I am guessing I will need some kind of adapter or something. Called both WO and lunt and neither was re...

Re: Anyone use a non guided mount ?
I plan on trying another AVX with probably a 8" scope, I think it was a mistake for me to consider using this mount for the Lunt insofar as its bulk & weight might have inhibited me from taking it out at times. I have an 15 year old Meade 120mm scope, motor driven but has a very non standar...

Re: Anyone use a non guided mount ?
Thanks for the tips.
Ioptron mount has to go back, will try another.
Just ordered a Baader Planetarium Hyperion 8mm-24mm Clickstop Zoom Eyepiece ,,, If this keeps up pretty soon I'll have everything that I need to view except a mount !

Re: Anyone use a non guided mount ?
I have never aligned a goto scope in the day or night, so it will be new to me but I'm sure I can handle it.
I'm assuming date/time/position info must be entered in order for it to track, that is just what I'd like to avoid since I doubt if I could even read the LED screen in sunlight.

Anyone use a non guided mount ?
Am expecting my lunt 60 any day now and have had a run of bad luck with prospective mounts. Ordered a Celestron AVX and it was DOA, has to return it. Ordered a iOptron SmartEQ PRO, motors won't budge though the gears spin, looks like another return. Am getting pretty jaded on powered mounts before I...

Re: Lunt coming soon
Ouch, sorry bout the grief my little garage mirror caused - Good eyes though, didn't even notice it. Not in any major rush for cam or binos, but I am impulsive. Was thinking about the skyris, I know theres alot of info and threads here and elsewhere about this topic, will have to do some research be...

Lunt coming soon
Glad to see the forum is still up, I thought it was toast as the old bookmarks lead to nowhere. Had to reregister. Anyways I finally ordered a 60 double stack with PT a few months ago, supposed to be here within a couple weeks. I got the mount in advance, I ended up with a Celestron AVX, which is pr...
