Resolution vs. Details
Hi, I am at the moment of deciding the acquisition of a solar telescope, my current budget places me between a Lunt 60 TT with a BF600 (of the old models) and a Coronado PST 40 DS, on the one hand with the Coronado PST 40 DS I can reach a 0.5 A for surface details and prominences, I suppose, on the ...

Hello, I have some important questions for me in relation to white light solar observing..: - Using a Hershell prism to observe the sun in white light, is it better to use it in a refractor with ED or APO lens or is it the same if an achromatic refractor is used? Better with long focal length F8 or ...

SolarMax 60 II vs, Daystar SS60-DS
Hello
Now that the CORONADO SolarMax II 60 BF10 model has a good price I'm thinking about acquiring one, I've also seen that Daystar has released the SS60-DS model, at a lower price, has someone been able to use them for visual observation?
Thank you
Pau

Hello, Thank you for your response. But dont´like the visual image with the Continuum filter, only with the polarizer(plus a ND3 filter) filter, there is too much CA with the Achro refractor? For example, an Achro Celestron Omni 120mm F/8 can be a good alternative to a ED80 refractor for visual obse...

Hello,
A 0.6 or 0.8 ND filter can replace a polarizing filter for visual observation?
Do they differ?
Another question, please: you can use a solar filter baader continunn along with a yellow filter to change the green color continunn?
Greetings

Thank you Gus, for your welcome.
Your Lunt Solar Wedge is 1.25" or 2"..? You use a polarized filter or a Solar Continum Baader filter?
In your opinion a ED80 is valid for details on granulation,pores,faculas..spot..or it is more affair of seeing conditions?

paul
