I remember a time about ten years age while working in Anchorage, Alaska I was moved to a ground floor with a large window. Didn't see many pigeons but I had moose coming by all the time looking in the windows. That can be distracting.

Just checking the SDO Atmospheric Imaging Assembly site. Looks like Old Sol is rotating a medium size bit of eye candy our way.

Re: De-pressure Lunt tuner for storage?
I asked Rikki Hocking a similar question when I ordered my Lunt in 2010. Rikki suggested releasing any pressure on the tuner at the end of each observing session. She said that their was no "known" damage/deformity that might occur in the system but why take a chance when it is so easy release the p...

Re: ZWO Camera
Hi I recently purchased a ZWO 174MM and had the same problem. I tried it in my Televue-85, a Televue-102, and a Lunt 80mm Ha scope. In OA capture I had the same problem as you. Nothing but a white screen no matter what exposure that I used. I saw in some of the forums that many people were using Fir...

ISS Transit question
Question for the group.
Where do you go to find out when a solar or lunar ISS transit will be visible from your location?
Thanks

As AR 12529 moves closer to the edge it appears that SDO is showing two small sun spots rotating our way.
My two images of AR 12529 2016 April 15th.

Hi everyone. Thanks for the kind comments. Eric When my Cave was built in December 1974 I lived in Santa Ana, Ca. I have been to the Cave shop twice but to my regrets Tom was not there so I did not get to meet him. Everyone at his shop was wonderful. Sad the way the business dissipated after he left...

Constructive criticism is welcomed. I am still muddling through these processes.
