I did a little more work through the Newtonian on Saturday, and will return it to my friend next weekend. At least we know he can use it as an Ha scope for longer focal length imaging with his quark once he gets an observing site set up at his new home.

Good day everyone... The clouds parted during my lunch yesterday so I took a few minutes to check the sun and it looked typical of the recent views...little disk activity and some faint proms. I setup to do some full disk imaging, but after seeing the proms decided to try some high res work as well....

My thanks for all of your replies and comments, they are always very much appreciated :bow The long prom on the western limb was great to be able to pull out of the thin cloud, but I'll give credit to Lou for a far better image and Alan Friedman has a superb vers...
