Re: AR12765 06/09/2020 15:26UT

Hi Again I have gone through all my files now and processed them. I think I like this one the best made from a short capture of only 100 frames and a stack of 25 of them even though cloud passing through the capture. I just took the video to check my focusing. It is a little grainy but I like the fa...

Re: AR12765 06/09/2020 15:26UT

Thanks all for you comments. Working from home is useful at the moment, if I can get on the sun with my finder (I have a WL phtoto filter on it, much brighter so I can see through the clouds) I just leave the scope traking and quark and camera on then spend most of my time next door in the conservat...

I wish I could have got more breaks in the clouds so I could have got the filaments progress and demise.

Re: My attempt at AR2765

The last two are very nice
Sometimes thin hazy clouds give you very steady seeing, well known for planetary work, I would also imagine for solar less heating of the earth so even better seeing.

Re: Max recommended duration of video capture to freeze small scale details?

Hi all I just thought these two images may be relevant. Both taken today eight minutes apart see how dramatically the two have changed especially the filament and the little dark area shaped like a horse near the spot. Both images were taken in about three seconds. Sorry second image is not as sharp...

Re: June 9 2020 Observations. 5 instrument line-up!!

Hi James Nice observations you had a good day. Very cloudy here no visual for me only on the monitor I just left my scope tracking the AR and every time I got a little hole I had a look and snapped some video about three seconds max before cloud came over again. Looks like we are going to be rained ...

Hi Terry good full disk images for today's weather Those pesky NRs again, have you tried unscrewing the front camera window I had this problem on my QHY5 M, almost the same camera. I suspect the window has no AR coating or not a very good coating so causing the NRs. I just removed it when imaging th...

Hi Terry
Weather does not look hopeful although it is brightening up in patches here up north and coming your way.
Hope you get some clear skies before the day is out.

Thats cool Filipp and would be very good for a public display.
One nice clever artistic image shows a lot of work and the many things that can be observed.
I like it a lot.

Re: Full disk in Ha light, June 6, 2020

Hi Dan On the subject of the uneven illumination I edit mine out in photo editing software. It can be quite a long job though mainly because I do it in small steps so I dont over do it. I have had a go at your image above and it came out quite well, I can post if you want. Its not the best solution ...

Hi
After reediting I like this better.
I could have done with more images to get rid of the grain though.
