Re: June 9 2020 Observations. 5 instrument line-up!!

Hi James Nice observations you had a good day. Very cloudy here no visual for me only on the monitor I just left my scope tracking the AR and every time I got a little hole I had a look and snapped some video about three seconds max before cloud came over again. Looks like we are going to be rained ...

Re: Tuesday 9th June 2020 CALCIUM-K images

Hi Terry good full disk images for today's weather Those pesky NRs again, have you tried unscrewing the front camera window I had this problem on my QHY5 M, almost the same camera. I suspect the window has no AR coating or not a very good coating so causing the NRs. I just removed it when imaging th...

Hi Terry
Weather does not look hopeful although it is brightening up in patches here up north and coming your way.
Hope you get some clear skies before the day is out.

Cheers Rod

Re: Against the Sun

Thats cool Filipp and would be very good for a public display.
One nice clever artistic image shows a lot of work and the many things that can be observed.
I like it a lot.

Re: Full disk in Ha light, June 6, 2020

Hi Dan On the subject of the uneven illumination I edit mine out in photo editing software. It can be quite a long job though mainly because I do it in small steps so I dont over do it. I have had a go at your image above and it came out quite well, I can post if you want. Its not the best solution ...

Hi
After reediting I like this better.
I could have done with more images to get rid of the grain though.

Is that actual video or animation?
The detail is so impresive.

Nice full disk, they are getting better
the uneven illumination is very hard to get rid of, I suffer the same, I think most of us do.

Re: AR2765 Imaged on 06/06/2020

Awsom Martin except that dam dog. One reason I am weary of solar film, to easy to damage. I have made several dedicated white light scopes in the past by sandwiching solar film between the two elements of a achromat. Nice and safe and the film lasts longer. Love the detail in the Ha and that filamen...
