What an impressive set of images, Christian. I find it a bit difficult to differentiate the 540nm and 500nm images as far as contrast is concerned. They both look amazingly crisp. I agree with Valery. The G band image is terrific with many bright points visible. Wonderful!

Details of a telecentric lens for C8 Edge and Daystar filter

Greetings Everyone. I thought I would add some information about the latest telecentric lens I've designed for use with a C8 Edge. Re: Can i use the Daystar Quantum 0,5 withe only Baader UV/IR?

Not to contradict Valery, but I’ve used the Baader uv/ir cut filter as ERF for the Daystar QPE0.6A on a 100mm f12 (Istar objective) with no problems. Daystar has recommended the use of full sized ERF for objective diameters larger than 100mm. A front mounted ERF is the best solution, especially as i...

Hi Valery. Your new filter is certainly capable of some superb imaging! These images look to have a bandpass of 0.4A or less and I don't think I can see any "print through" of the photospheric granulation (maybe a hint of it?). Are you developing this for the market? If so, hopefully you'd...
