Thanks all for your kind comments. Fine images, with many proms details. Shouldn't they be flipped vertically ? He just has the North pole at the bottom and the tilting Sun graph is therefore correct. Maybe he lives down under ? Yes, it does confuse a bit. Yes, I need to remember to flip the d...

The Sun - 2nd June 2020

Woke to cloud this morning :( Fortunately it was that thin cirrus stuff that I could work either around / through. Lots going on still, although the spots / pores seem to have vanished there's still lots of prominence activity. Start off with the Ca-K FD's. Couldn't get it to stitch initially but a ...

The Sun in Ca-K - 1st June 2020

New month started in the right way - sunny skies and lots of solar imaging :D Still lots to see both in white light and Ca-K. Seeing was generally poorer than yesterday but with some steady moments. The Sun - 31st May 2020

Early start this morning and out before 8am. Seeing was horrible initially but seemed to settle as time went on. Good to see some (admittedly small) spots on the Sun in white light today. Lots going on in Ca-K still as well so a busy session. First up, Ca-K full disks 20200531_Ca-K_6PaneFD_Invert_a....

The Sun in Ca-K - 30th May 2020

Been a while since I posted here, so I thought I would pop back and say "Hi". Hope you are all doing well. I took a bit of an enforced a break from solar over the winter as I loose the Sun from mid-November until mid Feb (due to trees) and then other things just got in the way! I'm back to...

Glorious blue skies this morning and seeing not bad either. Shame about the lack of activity. Nothing on show in white light and very little to show for the Ca-K session. Proms are a bit rough but they were small and faint.

White light was quiet as expected although the seeing was not bad at all and visually the granulation was...
