Good results! ImPPG is far superior to wavelets, you should definitely give it a go.

PS when browsing earlier time lapses of WL sunspots I'm often correct in guessing which solar hemisphere the sunspot was at. Often there's a subtle rotating of the penumbral area. Can this be related to coriolis forces just like we see on earth and it's atmosphere? An interesting idea! I can see ho...

Getting the full disk on the chip in one go is my favourite route, once it is all stacked it is even across the whole disk then.

Nice shots! It's way easier to stitch the Ha than the CaK without a seam or seeing playing havoc.

You do have to have a decent cable with the Quark from the battery pack, I tried several that didn't work. I ended up using a 20AWG cable as this offers lower resistance than 'thinner' gauge cables. Have you tried the battery pack with other devices, eg to charge your cell phone to ascertain whether...

Personally I think its a bit of a pointless product. Calcium is not the easiest thing because your eyes just don't work that well at those wavelengths plus long term exposure to sub 400nm can't be that good for your eyes.
