Hi Andrea, I've just done it now, so I know it works.... :) I updated PI to the latest version (mine was old!), which may or may not be necessary. Anyhow, this video is really helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yzfH5x5Smg I noted the importance of 'Resetting Updates' mentioned at around 8:30 ...

I really appreciate your kind comments, everyone. Double stacking in CaK really does help bring out the proms. BTW, I'm double stacking the yellow filter, just so you know. I'm thinking of tilting the 'blue' filters to adjust the tuning, as Mark does.

A couple of full disks in CaK and Ha, and a closer view of AR13615 in CaK. The calcium images were captured in double stacked mode to try to reveal the main proms.... they are just about visible. Variable seeing conditions, so the mosaics are a little patchy, particularly the calcium one. https://li...

Friday Sun 29th March 2024
Early beautiful blue skies gave way to rolling clouds and potential rain by midday. Between times, I just about managed to capture a few SER files of AR13615 at two focal lengths on my Basler acA1920 and 2440 cameras. As is more generally the case, the seeing conditions were poor, so the images are ...

Wowzer.... G4 geomagnetic storm in progress! There are likely to be some stunning aurora if it continues through the hours of darkness. My magnetometer kicked into life mid-afternoon when a CME resulting from a recent X-class solar flare struck earlier than predicted (according to Spaceweather.com)....

Sunday Sun 24th March 2024
A beautiful day, but awful seeing for the most part for anything up-close. I did manage a close view of AR13615 mid-flare and tried something a bit different to capture the full 'depth' of the event using an HDR approach, with 5 steps captured at different levels of exposure from very dim to normal....
