Thank you Valery.
So I presume that the aperture mask is set to produce a focal ratio of f/30. If the mask is decreased in size further then image quality will decrease with no effect on the band pass?

Hi Lou, The only information that I was able to see is what was on the Icstars webpage. I too hope that there is no amplification in this system but in say that I don't now how they will make the light entering the Etalon nearly parallel? The other factor for SCT and Maks is the heat generated by th...

New Quarks for SCT's, Maks or long refractors
Does anybody know about the new Quarks that are coming out next month? Apparently, these new Quarks are for use with SCTs, Maks, or F/15 and longer refractors . Two types will be available, one for prominence and the other for surface detail. http://www.icstars.com/Store/daystar-instruments-combo-qu...

Today's Four Faces of the Sun - 6th June
It was a glorious morning with not a cloud in the sky this morning so our club set up a couple of solar scopes for the public outside our science museum to complement their display on Sunlight. Well, just as we had set up the clouds rolled in which put and end to our part of the event but I was luck...

Excellent detail Valery. The lawn should be O.K. but not looking over buildings, roads, vehicles etc.... that cause thermals. At 50m high the air flow I would think would be quite laminar hence better seeing. Still great images.
