Ha Sun on 11 March

Good day everyone... Clear skies returned on Monday and with it more seasonable weather (and more sap to boil), and I was able to do some solar imaging over lunch and some deep sky after dark too. The disk offered many features which included many filaments and proms to go along with the big cluster...

Re: I am afraid it's a goner

Too bad to see the condition of the camera Rich.

Reach out to ZWO...they are usually good about repairs but may vary depending on the age of the camera. Worth a try, and if you get another camera you might have a backup if they help you out.

MArch 1st - Ha Session

Good day everyone... I had clear skies from dawn til dusk on Friday and had a chance to image over my lunch hour. There was an abundance of Ha detail to view and image, with 8 large AR's and numerous filaments and prominances as well. The first images are the FD taken with the LS80T/LS75FHa/B1800Ha ...

Re: February 24th - Ha

Hi James, yes you hit the nail on the head. Raw sap averages 2% sucrose out of the tree bu you need to remove enough water to get it to 66% sucrose to meet the 'offical' maple syrup standard. If you have it too dilute it doesn't store well and above 66% the sugar settles out of solution. the typical...

These look good Pedro...planetary is the biggest shortfall with the optical/imaging system in the scope but considering the performance on deep sky/solar/lunar you can't expect too much more.

I appreciate your comments Arne :bow James, the C14 isn't a long term solution but using it as a test bed.
