Ok found the problem, my techy couldn't dismantle it because of the special screws that hold it together which turned out to be a good thing. He found the female mini USB socket wasn't gripping the male USB cable end and was to loose so he got a small screwdriver and bent the outer steel case of the...

I found the problem, if I put a bit of pressure sideways on the mini USB connector it works so I tied a rubber band around the cable (connector) and looped the other end around the eyepiece thumb screw and it works. I called my techy electy and he had a look and says one of the wires going to the co...

My Quark won't work
Just tried to fire up my Quark which hasn't been used for about 3 weeks and the light won't light up, so I charged up the battery which was nearly fully charged,,,, still nothing,,,,, so I changed power cable and still nothing.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks for your reply Marcello, I had a adapter made last week for the ERF but I took it back this arve to have a bit more machined out of it, the glass didn't fit so I haven't looked through it yet.

I have just got a BRESSER AR-102 x 1000mm f/9.8 doublet achromat and about to mount a Lunt 100mm ERF in front of the objective this week and the Quark on the other end but at f9.8 x 4.3 which is the barlow in the Quark brings it to over f42 so how do I reduce it to f30 which is the desired f/stop fo...

Yeah I know what you mean about a full disc and to close to the border, I have the 32 and 40 I would like to try a 55 as I have the 2" eyepiece adapter but would like to try one first before buying one.

Ok just unscrewed the eyepiece and the reflection of the etalon surface is clear and uniform and not crinkly looking and I see mine has the anti tamper allen screws.

Yeah that worries me Derek the weather has been shocking up here and Stephen will confirm that, he is in Ayr at the moment with Andy Lunt and others and I really think it's their fault.
