Don't be too depressed, taking halpha with a DSLR is a hard task. JohnW from Australia is the best person to contact for tips as he always gets great results with his DSLR.
This is a cracking image though

At least it doesn't say wall to wall sunshine for Sunday and Tuesday and cloudy on Monday, if it were in the UK the forecast would be like that.
