Fantastic images Pedro :bow Guiseppe, do you have any images? A WL flare could be any shape not just Y shaped. It usually lasts no longer than a few minutes and is usually associated with an X class flare. You can get similar sharp brightening, these can be penumbral grains and are found at the end ...

Nice shots, do you have the etalon mounted perfectly flat, if not you may struggle to get on band.

Absolutely wonderful images Pedro :bow I was thinking that must have been a big hole in the clouds to get all those pics, then I saw the satellite image, I think that hole was the size of the England :lol: a hole in the clouds for me might mean I can get a 30 sec avi if lucky :)

Yes, it needs to come out to move it round, you will see the next hole appear, put screw in there. Don't drop and lose the screw though!!! we set up a surgical ward on the dining room table to do it and the tension in the air was very high.

As regards the halo, you will always get this as the very fact of over exposure will blow the disc size. You just need to increase the size of your surface disc to match, for example for the PST I have to increase it to 105%.

That is exactly the fix I had to do also. The tuning point gradually wandered off past the bump stop. I found the side nearly on band, removed the tamper screw, then moved the collar round and put the screw in the next hole along. Then you can move it slightly more to on band. If my hubby can do it ...
