Yes, the raw stacked frame is distorted. I need to use Photoshop transform functions to make it round.
Here is the H-alpha version this morning.
Quite lots of clouds most of the time.

Re: Question: Any tutorial pages for creating digital spectrohelioscope solar images?
I finally use C# to write a simple program to do the job, and only work for very straight spectral lines
My program seems quit low efficient, it takes minutes to combine the image and consume lots of RAM.
How is the performance of IRIS?

Re: Question: Any tutorial pages for creating digital spectrohelioscope solar images?
After some trial, I can export the avi to bmp files.
But I am not able to use the combine software in my WinXP machine. I have tried to read the tutorial and also tried the button in the program, but failed.
Are there any other softwares can do the same job?
Thank you!

Re: Venus Transit Animation
Thanks for the waiting.
The distortion around the Venus should be not by the atmosphere of Venus, but the motion of Venus.
When the software tried to align the edge of the Venus, the motion will cause blurred background (solar surface).

I don't know how to make a good metal slit, so I just use a piece of paper to make a temp slit.
I think I will find a metal one and replace current slit.
I got a 30mm x 30mm grating from a China surplus shop and don't have its detail spec, I guess around 600g/mm
