LuSol-Guide, software for solar autoguiding

Post by oc-lab »

Hello,

I open a new post to announce the first version of my solar autoguiding software. It has been tested with various cameras and mount, but maybe there are still some bugs...
So you can (must!) download first the evaluation version, and after if all is ok, you can buy the complete version.
All is here :
http://www.oc-lab.fr
feel free to contact me if you have remarks, questions etc...
Regards,
Olivier

Hi Olivier

that is interesting. Does it work with a Losmandy G11?

Hi!

The software works with mount compatible with ascom so i think it will be ok with losmandy/gemini:

http://ascom-standards.org/Downloads/ScopeDrivers.htm

Other possibility is to connect the mount through ST4 port and GPUSB interface.
For future development, maybe I will try to use st4 port embedded in few guiding camera.

Hi, i have tried to download your software and tried to use it with a camera qhy MZ5M and qhy5LII.
The software is not able to find any camera i use, the only camera in the menu is the webcam in the computer. The software is able to work with this cameras?
They have also an ascom driver...

Hi Lorenzo,

Sorry for this late reply. I have sent you a private email to discuss about the problem. In few word, normally LuSol guide should work with qhy2 if the last wdm driver are downloaded and installed from the website of qhy.
I am interested by your experience and if your camera is well found by the software with the last wdm drivers.

Thanks,
Olivier

Hi.

Did any one test this program on a Losmandy G11?

Hello,

The more secure way is to test freely LuSol. I propose to download a trial version on the website. LuSol should must with all mounts compatible with ASCOM or just with the GPUSB interface (and in this case, you need just a mount with ST4 port). It seems to exist ASCOM driver for G11 so I think LuSol will work well, but I have not try it on this mount.
About camera compatible, LuSol should must work with all camera compatible with WDM drivers (almost all camera on windows !). Lusol was tests with different camera : simple webcam, DMK series, QHY, meade DSI.
Please feel free to test the software and let me know if you have remarks, questions or bad experiences with it. I would try to fix problems.

Thanks,
Olivier
