daystar quark visual feedback

Post by DSobserver »

I just received yesterday my chromosphere quark batch #3 :

I try it on a 70/400 scope and definitely we are far , far away from 0.3-0.5A expected!

I could compare with my "good" PST, and would say that we are around 0.7....So contrast is not as good.

Then some trials :
Trial 1 : decreasing it to 40/700, no difference
Trail 2 : I try to double stack it with PST : too dark
Trial 3 : I try to double stack it on my 70/400 + SM40 : darker than a PST DS but better than trial 2

I'm going to try it asap with my SM90.

Remarque : did you observer like me that when you see the sun without eyepiece through the quark, it appear that the FP is full of dust or particles?

Yes, the quark looks dusty but it is OK.
