An idea for decoupled PT

Post by Gert »

Hi All,

Just an idea what Lunt needs to sell. Having the PT knobs on the scope esp in DS config is cumbersome and tuning always shakes the image. I've seen their motor pump remote unit, but that's pricey and for DS you need 2 of them! But what about transposing that idea into manual pumps? Bringing the two knobs into one single hand held unit with pressure lines going to some sockets at the scope's etalons. Even the old knobs could be reused! No shaking scopes and no awkward reaching for the knobs. Lunt-team are you listening?

Cheers,
Gert

Hi Gert

yes a great idea, you could even use pressurised gas to apply pressure. no need for pumping ;)
