Print Quality of Solar images

Post by cshahar »

I have seen many nice Ha solar images, although the majority of them (that are not simply the entire disk) seem somewhat soft looking. I would imagine that is because the appearance of the sun is inherently soft. I was wondering about the print quality of solar images. They may look fine on a computer monitor, but the real "test" might be hard copy printing. Are there any imagers with an opinion about that? Has anyone tried printing their work?

Hi Charles

there are even fine books with printed pics from members of that forum. Just use the tif file for printing bevore you make the jpg or png.

Only stardust in the wind, some fine and some less fine scopes, filters and adapters as well. Switzerland 47 N, 9 E, in the heart of EUROPE :)
