Size and position of the etalon in the Lunt 35 vs Lunt 50

Post by Pluton »

Hello,

I've heard that the Lunt 50 has an etalon of 20mm.inside..
It is smaller than the one that takes the Lunt 35?
In relation to the position of the etalon, is better the front position in the Lunt 35 model or inside the Lunt 50?
As for the tuner, which is the best of both? the air pressure or manual control of tilt?

It would be worth the money difference between a model Lunt 35 Dx, and the Lunt 50?

Thanks for your comments and opinion.

Regards

Paul

Hi Paul

I would always go with the pressure tuned system and a 50 mm opening

The Lunt LS50 scope uses an internal 35mm etalon that has a 26mm wide area of useful coatings.

You are probably thinking of the PST which has an internal 20mm etalon
