Hello,
my name is Torsten an I'm from northern Germany. For three weeks I bought a Lunt 50 with double stacking from W. Lille. It is a great system and I really enjoy watching with it.
As I read a couple of posts here about decoupled etalons, I am a bit worried when trasporting the telescope in a car. Especially on bumpy roads.
What is your experience, is it safe? How do you transport your Halpha-telescopes?
The telecope is stored in a modificated Coronado suitcase with the DS etalon mounted on the telescope.

Re: telescope transportation
I transported my TEC140 and Solarscope DS etalons all the way from northern England to mid Italy by car and then back home again, they were absolutely fine. I kept them in the original carriage cases in the boot of the car. They were nicely wedged in with all the suitcases

Thank you for the answer.
That will calm me down when taking my new telescope with me on holiday next time.

Re: telescope transportation
You will be fine, I travel all round the UK with my scopes, and unlike Alexandra most of the time they are just on the back seat of the car (seat belts on!).
