TIS on their site say that the DMK51 (in fact all the DMK's) will not run at full speed when connected to a USB3 port.
They only run at half the "best" frame rate.
OK, but my new "hot-shot" computer has both USB3 and USB2 ports, BUT guess what.....plugging the DMK into the USB2 port gives the same result as plugging it into the USB3 port - half speed....bumma.
Until I can resolve the banding/ ripple issue with the ASI 174 I was hoping to continue trials with the DMK.....not so easy!
I'm sure life wasn't meant to be so difficult.

I had exactly the same thing with my DMK31. So sold it...

Hmmm
Well I've just plugged in the DMK41 to the new computer USB2 port, and guess what??
IT WORKS 100%!!!!!
What the devil is going on!!
The DMK41 has firmware rev 1014, the DMK51 firmware rev 1030, both running under IC driver 2.8.9.1466

I always use my DMK41 in my USB3 and it works fine? but I guess that is no help.

Re: DMK51 with new computer - low frame rates
I had the same problem when I connected the DMK51 to a USB3 (fast laptop). I now use it with an old laptop that only has UBS2 ports

Mine wouldn't work when I connected it to the USB2 ports on the (USB3) laptop.
