Help! Imaging Source & laptop issues

Post by mattwastell »

Hi all
I hope someone can help.
I am trying to install the drivers & capture software to my new computer (MS Surface).
It appears to download fine but I keep getting this message

I have tried everything but without success - I have downloaded this many times without issue on other computers - I am stuck.
Thanks in advance.

You can still use your camera, but you will have to set the frame rate to half to see an image. This is a known issue when using imaging source USB2 cameras on newer laptops with USB3 ports and Intel chipsets, for more info have a look at the Imaging source forums.

All sorted - will be at half speed - hope to get a run over the weekend to see the real impact.

I don't think I would settle for half speed, the DMK51 is slow enough! Imaging source must have a fix?

I will keep looking through the forums - I have not found out too much except for some technical mumbo jumbo that is like double Dutch to me. I was happy to at least see the computer & the camera talking! I will have a run over the weekend & see what happens. I have been toying with a new camera anyway :D

Alexandra, et al,
I raised this issue - seems to affect only the DMK51 (?!) on the TIS group.....
No additional reply - only that the camera will operate at half frame rate on USB3.
They don't seem to be interested in solving the problem.
