What do you prefer?

Post by sulcis2000 »

Hi all

I've a Daystar Quark Chromosphere version (a good one piece) but I'd like to improve my solar setup.
I'm going to buy a new one solar halfa filter and I'm in doubt which is better choice between two different Solar Spectrum model:

1) Solar Observer H-Alpha Filter Serie 1 - 0.3 Angstrom with 19mm etalon

2) Solar Observer H-Alpha Filter Serie 1,5 - 0,5 Angstrom with 25mm etalon

This new halfa filter will be used with Kelvin(Refractor 9" F8) with the add of a Powermate 4X

Tks for your advice.

Ale

Ale, talk with Rupert from Astrograph. He is teaching me and helping me about the choose of my future solar filter ;) .
But, if you will use just for imaging, I would choose the SO Serie 1 - 0,3A.
