Re: anyone tried one of these yet - Quark Mg
Thanks apollo. I have tried the Mg quark, I like it a lot and it's on my shopping list for next year. Best way I can describe it is like green calcium. It's very bright both visually and imaging wise. As well as higher Strehl the longer wavelength (compared to Ca) means is less susceptible to poor seeing at the expense of resolution.

I was not happy with the one they brought to the Big Bear convention. It had a strong secondary reflection. (double solar image). But they seem to be happy with it.

Did you get to see it from up close, Mark?

I did have some time with one a while back, but to me it looked much like my Ha Quark coloured red so I won't be getting one
Just for info, if I ever come over as "blunt" or upset it is not intentional, I am AUTISTIC, I have Aspergers, and ADHD, Autism, so my apologies if I ever sound, unintentionally confrontational. Thank you
