Re: Bad Baader filter?
Lief,
Exactly which filter are you testing?
I can replicate the test with my spectroscope....

Re: Bad Baader filter?
Like Merlin66 said, which filter is it. If it is a BG glass filter you will find that they turn back on(in the orange or red) depending on which one it is. If it is a bandpass filter then it should not be doing that.

Re: Bad Baader filter?

Re: Bad Baader filter?
The reason I asked, is that I have a set of 4 Baader CCD filters (#2458350) and it came complete with a set of transmission curves.
The BLUE (Zartblau) (80a) shows a 87% transmission at 380nm and drops off quickly at 500nm through to around 670nm.
The GREEN (hellgrun) gives 78% at 540nm but only drops to 40% by 700nm.....
I'll put them in the spectroscope at the first opportunity....
(I think the filter you're looking at is this one..
