Sloppy PST Tuning Ring?

Post by Merlin66 »

Not a mod, but a "maintenance" issue...
If your tuning ring is sloppy then probably the two small O rings which should provide stability have worn....
You'll see them when the rubber knurled ring/outer ring (and the small screw) is removed.
These, according to my measures are 1.7mm diameter x 51mm bore...an oddball size!
The O ring locating groove is 1.6mm deep x 1.75mm wide.
If anyone finds a suitable supplier for these O rings, please post details for others..

If it's the outside diameter of the "O" ring that is worn, might it not be possible to pack out the groove to expand the original ring?

Yes, a few strips of masking tape at the bottom of the locating groove might do the trick....It would be much better, however, to find a supplier....
