I knew he was just trying to trick me. When he mentioned he double stacked his Baader Continuum filter for better results, I had to try this myself to see if it was true! I do indeed have two filters of this type, and below the results are very clear. NO IMPROVEMENT WHAT SO EVER. In fact, the image was Four stops darker! that made the exposure so long as to blur the images significantly as well. But alas, no boost. Here are the results side by side. Walter I was getting some really long exposure times with the double stack, like 1/8 sec. Not good for freezing the seeing...
